About Me

Hello there!  My name is Paul Green and I am a retired telecommunications engineer living in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  I share a home here on Robinson Mountain with my unbelievably supportive wife, who is also my travel partner/coordinator.  She is definitely my inspiration and reason for being a photographer today.

What do you want to know about me??  Well, for one, I love the outdoors.  I spend as much time as I can hiking through the Natural State enjoying the mountains, rivers, streams and farmlands that are prevalent throughout Arkansas.  I have been introduced to kayaking recently and plan to spend more time this spring honing my skills.

I also try to practice a contemplative lifestyle and am part of a men's group here that gathers once a week for a 20 minute Centering Prayer session.  I gain so much from this group of men that share their vulnerabilities, joys and sadness.

All of my interests; the outdoors, contemplative lifestyle and travel merged in 2015.  That year my wife and I traveled by RV to all seventeen Trappist monasteries and produced a coffee table book of photographs from our visits.  You can learn more about the book and purchase the book here on my website.

What Else?

Well, whenever we are not traveling, I enjoy working with several non-profits in Fayetteville that address issues that matter to me.  I volunteer weekly at the 7 Hills Homeless Center.  This group is working hard to address the needs of our homeless population and working on ways to reduce homelessness to zero over time.

I also volunteer with the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust.  The folks at the land trust are committed to conserving and preserving as much of our wonderful natural resources and rural landscapes as they can in Northwest Arkansas.  They are a passionate group who care for our land the way I do.

I hope you will visit the galleries and blog on the website and learn more about nature, contemplative lifestyles, hiking and volunteer opportunities.  You can order prints for your home or office as well.  Also in 2019, I will be expanding into portrait and lifestyle photography, so stay tuned!!  Thank you for stopping by and feel free to contact me with any questions you might have for me.  I love to meet knew people and learn about what makes them fulfilled!!
